When you imagine the future, what do you see?

Is it a world reshaped by forces beyond your control — climate, technology, politics? Or is it your own life – your choices, your goals, the things you hope to get right? Most of us have been taught to think about the future in one of these two ways. Either it’s something enormous happening to us — or it’s something entirely up to us. No wonder so many of us feel stuck between helplessness and overwhelm.

But what if there was another way? What if futures were built by people, together — not handed down by systems, not carried alone, but co-created by communities who show up for each other, dream together, and hold each other accountable? Some people and communities have always known how to do this. But for others, it’s something we need to rediscover.

Our Tiny Futures is a project for people ready to do that rediscovering. Here you’ll find ideas, practices, and encouragement for building real community with the people in your life — neighbors, friends, fellow travelers — so that together, you can start imagining and shaping futures that sustain you all. The work happens out there, in the world, but Our Tiny Futures can help you begin.
